Running at Large

All animals (excluding cats) are required to be confined by building, wall or fence, on a leash, or held in hands of owner/keeper. Animals running loose should be reported to the Corsicana Animal Control office - 617 S. 12th St., 654-4928. After hours, if the animal poses a danger to citizens, contact Corsicana Police Dept. at 654-4902.

Animal Bites

Confirmed bites will require a report with information surrounding the incident and the offending animal. This report must be made for quarantine procedures to commence. It is recommended that you contact your doctor if you have been bitten by an animal.

Vicious Animals

An officer will respond to reports of animals that are acting aggressive. All reasonable attempts to capture the animal safely will be made. Safety concerns go first to citizens, officer, and then other animals.

Wildlife

An officer will respond to calls of wildlife in areas where citizen safety is of concern. Fox, raccoon, skunk, bat, or coyote in a neighborhood during the day call 654-4929, and wildlife inside of a residence after hours call 654-4902.
