  • Economic Development can be defined as a program, group of policies, or activity that seeks to improve the economic well-being and quality of life for a community by creating and/or retaining jobs that facilitate growth and provide a stable tax base.   • Our Vision is to foster a culture which provides every citizen of our community with an opportunity to realize their full potential.

 

  • Our Mission is to create an overall economic environment that is strong, diverse, and sustainable by consistently demonstrating an unwavering commitment towards business retention and expansion including initiating a proactive approach towards business recruitment that will meet or exceed the expectations of our community and its leaders.

 

  • Our Goals & Objectives include but are not limited to the following:
    • Retain and/or create additional, well paying, jobs with benefits
    • Assist and support our existing businesses
    • Successfully attract environmentally safe industries to our community
    • Effectively market our community both internally and externally
    • Enhance the local tax base to support local services and pursue other activities without having to raise taxes
    • Improve the overall quality of life throughout the community
