The Engineering Department is responsible for providing services to citizens of Corsicana and to other City departments in planning and executing a wide variety of public works projects. These projects include street construction, traffic control, storm drainage, landfill construction, water lines and sewer facilities. The Department supervises the design and construction of capital improvement projects and construction inspection of these projects. Specific activities include assistance in planning and zoning functions, review of public works plans, street and drainage design, water distribution and wastewater collection design, community development block grants and special projects. The Engineering Department is also responsible for management of the City computer network and website, and provides computer training and technical support for City employees.

  • 2008 Bond Streets: E. 13th Avenue
  • 2008 Home Grant - Funding was received by the City to reconstruct 5 to 6 homes.
  • Safe Routes to School Program / Construct sidewalks, crosswalks, school zone signs with flashers at five school locations
