Corsicana Main Street envisions the downtown area as a prosperous, vital business district by means of actively promoting economic growth and historic revitalization. We strive for excellence and quality of life through a solid partnership between the City of Corsicana, the educational community, downtown business owners, and residents.

Mission Statement:

Corsicana Main Street works to preserve the downtown heritage by fostering community pride and involvement, stimulating diverse business development, and creating a strong historic preservation ethic using the Texas Main Street 4-Point Approach:

  • Organization
  • Design
  • Promotion
  • Economic Restructuring

Main Street 4-Point Approach

Organization: Establishes partnerships among various groups such as downtown merchants, property owners and other professionals in order to create and maintain a successful program.

Design: Directs attention to the physical elements of downtown by stressing high-quality design ideals in maintenance, restoration and rehabilitation projects.

Promotion: Assists in creating a lively, positive image of the downtown area through marketing and promotion of special events and celebrations, as well as designing promotions to generate retail sales.

Economic Restructuring: Strengthens the downtown’s economic base by assisting in the retention and expansion of existing businesses and developing programs to meet the needs of business owners.
