Voluntary Water Conservation Efforts Effective Monday, October 10th:

Due to current weather conditions and lack of significant rainfall, the level of the lakes the city uses as its water source have reached the mild drought level.

This condition requires outside watering be restricted to the hours of 6pm to 10am as follows:

Last Digit of Address Allowed Water Dates
Mild Conditions
0 through 4 --> Monday and Thursday
5 through 9 --> Tuesday and Friday

Moderate Conditions
0 through 4 --> Monday only
5 through 9 --> Tuesday only

Other water conservation efforts are as follows:

1. Use water in a manner that does not allow run off or waste.
2. Use bucket not spray nozzle for washing and rinsing of vehicles.
3. Make sure dishwasher is full before running.
4. Wash full loads of laundry.
5. Take shorter showers.
6. Turn water off when brushing teeth.
7. Install toilet dam or other water saving device in commode.
8. Use water saving native plants and shrubs in landscape.

The City appreciates any and all efforts made to help curtail water usage by its citizens.

North 37th Street Closure

Beginning January 12th, North 37th from Maplewood to Dobbins will be closed for reconstruction. We will notify you upon completion and reopening of the street. Tentatively the road will be closed for a month (30 days) to six (6) weeks. We appreciate your patience and look forward to the improvements.

Forrest Lane Reconstruction

Forrest Lane Reconstruction Project began January 11, 2012. The south side of the street will be closed and traffic will be one-way westbound from Beaton towards Dobbins.
